The Poet's Jesus

The Prophesy: Then, and Now, and When…Amen.

You loved us before creation –

There was no world and no nations!

You loved us, even Then

You came down through space and time –

And gave us Christ as the sacred sign that

You love us, even Now…..yes even Then and Now

We ponder and at times are perplexed

How such a wonder has come into our lives!

You loved us Then… and You are loving us Now

Then and Now we see

Upon the crest of that day

Yet to come, You… arriving from heaven to earth!

Bringing new birth and defeating sin –

Love shall win! For all eternity –

Not just every now and then!

You have loved us – Then… You are loving us – Now

Love fulfilled – You loving us, and we loving You –

And one day, there upon the horizon, Love is approaching!

And We shall shout: “The sweet Lord Jesus is coming! “

When? Then, and Now….and When. Thank you, Lord Jesus,

For loving us how? For loving us –

Then and Now and When…Amen
